Die mesopotamischen Innovationshemmnisse hinsichtlich des Wagens (insbesondere Sklaven, Kanäle und Esel) fehlten in Mitteleuropa; und die Nichterfindungen des Wagens in den komplexen Andenkulturen und in China zeigen, dass eine „Hochkultur“ bzw. Verstädterung für eine Wagenerfindung nicht maßgeblich conflict.
Mitteleuropa bzw. die Trichterbecherkultur conflict, zumindest nach derzeitiger Fund- und Sachlage, nicht nur der früheste, sondern wohl auch der einzige Erfindungsort des Wagens.
